The Blue Bus: Let Peace Flow, Sea Freedom

A traveling artwork reimagined as The Peace Bus - carrying symbols of peace, unity, and resilience through the streets of New York.

The Blue Bus has been transformed into a movement of peace, a traveling artwork carrying symbols of hope and unity through the streets of New York. It stands as a living embrace of peace, resilience, and freedom.

More than a vehicle, The Blue Bus Project is a mobile art space that brings communities together across New York City. Through art, it tells the stories of what we are living as individuals, as communities, and as a shared humanity.

Everywhere in the world, we are confronted with division, control, and confusion. The path forward, though difficult, begins with stripping away what has been constructed in our minds-  the layers of ideology, politics, and religion that separate us. When we let go of these outer shells we can begin to stand neutral, to see one another, and to recognize ourselves as one.

This is not easy. Yet through dialogue, imagination, and collective experience, we can move closer to liberation. The Peace Bus reminds us that peace begins within, and that unity radiates outward when we release what divides us.

The Blue Bus is a call to come together, to imagine peace not as an abstract dream but as a lived reality: moving, flowing, and alive in the streets.

The Peace Bus: A Collaboration in Dialogue

“I don’t know exactly how to describe what is happening, only that I feel the need to bring my voice out. Something inside is guiding me through this, despite obstacles, fear, and misunderstanding. So much has unfolded lately, and this is simply my way of expressing it all. I’m learning to enjoy the process. What guides me feels like both a response to the conflict around us and a conscious choice to focus on the good instead.”
— Annalisa Iadicicco, community-engaged environmental artist, founder of The Blue Bus Project

The Peace Bus emerged from a dialogue between three artists with different practices but a shared vision of hope:

  • Carla Torres — muralist & graphic designer

  • Annalisa Iadicicco — community-engaged environmental artist, founder of The Blue Bus Project

  • Domenick Di Pietrantionio ( Dipie) — Interdisciplinary artist

Through conversation, exchange, and creative collaboration, we transformed the Blue Bus into a traveling artwork, a living symbol of peace, resilience, and freedom. Together, we believe that dialogue itself can be a form of construction: building bridges, nurturing imagination, and offering communities a way to see and experience peace not as an abstract dream, but as something alive in the streets.
